CISCO Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Training
Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
Administration & Maintenance Bootcamp
CyberProtex’s five-day CUCM class helps students understand how an enterprise phone system works—and how to administer, maintain, and troubleshoot it. The course builds from networking fundamentals to the systems, services, and configuration decisions that keep an organization’s voice communications operating reliably.
What students learn
Students explore how CUCM is organized, how phones connect to call-processing services, and how extensions, dialing rules, and calling permissions determine who can call whom. They also cover system maintenance concepts, including virtualization, backups, upgrades, and operational health checks. The emphasis is on understanding how the pieces work together rather than simply memorizing menu options.
The class then connects administration to the user experience: managing directory integration and administrative access, understanding conferencing and other shared voice resources, maintaining call quality, and using reports and diagnostic information to investigate problems.
How students learn
Instructor-led explanations and demonstrations are paired with practice in the private, Azure-based ACME Lab environment you’ve established. Daily knowledge checks reinforce terminology and ask students to explain why each concept matters to an administrator. Historical examples—from manual switchboards to modern IP telephony—make the technology approachable and connect today’s tools to familiar communications problems.
The goal
Build practical confidence: understand the environment, perform routine administration, recognize common failure points, and approach troubleshooting methodically.
Real-world training. Hands-on labs. Skills that carry back to the workplace.
